In conjunction with the 20th National Youth Day celebration, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports held the reading of Surah Yaasin and Tahlil for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim. The function took place at the Royal Mausoleum. The National Youth Day is celebrated every 1st of August as recognition towards the youth movement in the country.

Present, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also in attendance was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.
